This is a crazy world we live in with a global pandemic, gyms closed, depression mounting, nutrition lacking and coping mechanisms trying to save today... and tomorrow .... and then next... and so on.

But that doesn’t mean we can’t pull out the ole’ tool box, dig deep and ensure we minimize how the exterior environment affects us in all capacities.

Let’s talk about cellular toxicity: the one thing that dictates overall health and wellness, or risk for long term illness and disease.

Each cell in the body — brain cell, skill cell, lymphatic cell, etc. — is comparable to a balloon.

Quick science lesson: the balloon is a phospholipid membrane. This is a permeable membrane which allows nutrition to be carried into the cell by water (hydration), and allows toxins to be eliminated from the cell (flushing) after the cell uses what it needs to “power up.”

If we are stressed, eating poor nutrition — think processed food and chemicals — or not exercising, this membrane tightens up and doesn’t allow nutrition in or toxins out. What’s the result?

Cellular toxicity!

This also means a higher risk of long-term illness and disease.

What can we do?

Optimally we delve deep into our skill sets and identify all our stressors and try to fix them one at a time. Sound like an overwhelming task? That’s because it can be without the right tools in our kit or tricks up our sleeves.

Let’s start with the basics. Three simple steps will take you forward by leaps and bounds in your overall health and eliminating your risks.

  • Hydrate!
    1. Drink 1oz of water per pound of body weight a day. For example, if I weigh 150lbs, I drink 150oz a day — or 18.75 measured cups.

  • Move!
    1. Take a mindfulness walk, do some deep breathing, and live in the moment on your journey. This will clear your mind and get your muscles firing as well as kickstart your lymphatic system.
      1. Lymphatic system: The lymphatic system is a network of tissues and organs that help rid the body of toxins, waste and other unwanted materials that can be dangerous to our health over time if not expelled.

  • Make a grateful list!

  1. Write down ten things you’re grateful for before you get out of bed, and do it by hand. It’s proven its far more beneficial to put pen to paper than typing. Be sure these are things you’re really grateful for, not just “I love my new truck.” The body vibrates at different frequencies and the mindset of gratitude is the highest frequency a human can vibrate at. This sets you up for an amazing mindset and vibration for the day.
    1. Humans vibrate in neutrality at 250hz but in a state of joy or gratitude, we can vibrate at 540hz which is slightly less than absolute peace and enlightenment.

These three seemingly simple steps will change your health, and be a catalyst to a new and improved future. Our best recourse is action, so stop your old habits and create new ones: start today and take action!
