The generational journey of the May family.
For the May family, Southwest Florida is not simply a market—it is woven into their history. Their Fort Myers roots trace back through the 1800s. In the early 1900s, Michael’s father was born and raised there, creating a family legacy long before modern development reshaped the region.
Although the family’s path temporarily moved north to New Jersey, the pull of the Gulf Coast never disappeared. In 1985, Michael’s father returned to retire, purchased land and built a new-construction home.
Christian arrived in Southwest Florida in time to begin first grade. His local childhood was shaped by youth sports, boat cruises and long days living on a Cape Coral canal.
In 1999, Michael purchased a home on Fort Myers Beach that became the backdrop for nearly two decades of family memories and a firsthand appreciation for the coastal lifestyle.
When you’re a kid drawing pictures in crayon, you always draw a smile on the sun, because it makes you happy.
